Summary of the project
The project is supported by a strong and stable partnership consisting of: Technical College "Costin D. Nenitescu" Pitesti, as the applicant and the sending institution, Siemens company and the partner school Berufskolleg Uerdingen from the city Krefeld, Germany as host institutions .
The participants will be 12 students in class XI, technical profile, the qualifications technician in automation and electromechanical technician, level 3, from Technical College "Costin D. Nenitescu" Pitesti.
The training needs of the participants, identified through the SWOT analysis is to develop the European dimension of their professional competence through the acquisition of skills and competencies in real conditions and in an international environment and work life.
The project will encourage the application of transfer of the learning results between the two schools in Romania and Germany, through the use of ECVET elements :Memorandum of Understanding, Learning Agreement, Training Agreement and Europass mobility.
The specific objectives of the project are:
1. the development of professional skills of the participants for the automation technician and electromechanical technician qualifications through ECVET mobility system;
2. developing communication skills in English, social and intercultural skills of the participants in an international environment;
3. strengthening of cooperation relationship between European partner schools and training institutions by promoting ECVET;
The specific objectives will be achieved through training activities and cultural training where participants will take part during placement, alternatively, one week at Siemens company and one week at the partner profile school Uerdingen Berufskolleg from Germany. In both training institutions, the participants will take advantage of modern facilities in the area, competent trainers and everything necessary for the full achievement of the project objectives.
The content of the training program, the methods of assessment, certification, validation and recognition of learning results were established by negotiation with the partner institutions and will be detailed in the ECVET documents - Memorandum of Understanding, Learning Agreement, Training Agreement and Europass Training.
By implementing the project, outcomes will be achieved at all levels of the parties involved - participants, institutions, partnership. By disseminating the results, especially those of using ECVET elements, the impact will be extended to regional and national level. The main outcome of the project will be the 12 participants with professional skills, language and social improvements. Other results will be reflected in the increase in the mobility of IVT qualifications in the school for the above mentioned qualifications, the increase of the chances of integration on the European labor market for the participants by allowing a flexible retraining to related jobs.
The project will contribute to the promotion of ECVET in Romania and to increase the visibility of the LdV programme in the region, with the effect of involving a larger number of institutions in this type of projects. The school prestige and attractiveness of the professional and technical education will grow in the community.
At the sectoral level, the project will contribute to the development of specific curricular auxiliaries in electronics and automation that can be used by other institutions concerned.
